-Provide the appropriate educational opportunities and instruction for each student, according to his/her needs and abilities. -Prepare, in advance, appropriate lesson plans. -Keep accurate records, tests, reports, etc., as required by Florida Statutes, Regulations, and School Policy. -Establish and maintain open communication with parents; establish and maintain good rapport with students, school personnel, and parents. -Work with fellow teachers, assistants, therapists, administration, etc., in planning for instruction. -Participate in staff development and in-service training. -Establish and maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to teaching and learning; plan and implement the use of classroom time effectively. -Implement school-based policies and procedures in order to uphold school regulations. -Communicate curriculum and student-related information effectively in oral and written mode. -Participate in school functions to provide opportunities for fundraising, marketing, and business development and other student-related school events. -Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Degree and certification in Exceptional Student Education, Gifted endorsement preferred
